How to submit Case of the Month

to the RPS Website

Introduction

Pathology residents and fellows, please submit interesting renal cases on our website by emailing the secretary of RPS: secretary@renalpathsoc.org. If the case is accepted, a certificate (a thank-you letter for your contribution) and a 50-dollar rewards card (trainee's choice) will be offered as gratitude.

Selection Criteria

    1. The case submitted should be original.
    2. It should be interesting and needs not to be a rare entity.
    3. It should be submitted by a pathology resident or fellow with a faculty as a mentor.
    4. It will be sent to the Chair of the Education and Training Committee for review, who, after the review is completed, will contact the submitting author(s) with the decision.

Submission format:

    1. It should be submitted as a Word document of up to 1000 words (excluding references) and 6 figures.
    2. Figures should be submitted as JPG separate files numbered with the figure order.
    3. It should include:
        • Title 
        • Authors’ names and affiliations, and corresponding author’s email
        • Clinical history 
        • Biopsy description (can include figures and legends)
        • Clinical follow-up if applicable
        • Discussion
        • References 

Process

Upon the Education and Training Committee's decision to accept the case, it will be forwarded to the Communication and Website Committee for uploading onto the website.
